Da Nang’s most beautiful bridges

Danang is known as the “City of Bridges”. Tran Thi Ly bridge

Tran Thi Ly Bridge is a long-standing bridge in five bridges across the Han River. Tran Thi Ly Bridge was built in the French colonial era, in 1950, called De Lattre de Tassigny. About before 1975, the bridge was known as Trinh Minh The Bridge.

Tran Thi Ly Bridge was renovated, upgraded and reconstructed. The bridge is shaped like a sail, looking from a distance looks very modern and beautiful. With its new look, Tran Thi Ly Bridge is considered as a big boat stretching out to the vast ocean. The bridge was built in 2010 (most recently rebuilt) with a length of up to 731m, the bridge width of 34.5m and the bridge is installed quite a lot of trees.

Han river bridge

The Han River bridge is the only swing-bridge in Vietnam. The bridge is one of the proud symbols of Danang people. The Han River Bridge over the Han River, connecting the two main roads of the city is Le Duan Street on the west bank and Pham Van Dong Street on the East Coast (connecting two central districts of Hai Chau and Son Tra).

The bridge is 487.7 meters in length; 12.9 meters wide; 11 beats, 33 meters each. The bridge was started construction in 1998 and inaugurated in 2000. Long ago, the bridge turning Han River known by many tourists is one of the most famous bridges in Da Nang city.

Thuan Phuoc bridge

Thuan Phuoc bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam (1,850 meters long, 300 meters more than My Thuan bridge). Thuan Phuoc bridge across the Han River with 3 continuous hammocks rung, 18 meters wide and designed with 4 lanes running.

Thuan Phuoc Bridge is a bridge between Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and Son Tra Peninsula. Thuan Phuoc Bridge is located at the mouth of the sea, which is considered as the symbol of welcoming boats into the bay of Da Nang. This is the first hammock with a steel box girder built in the direction with a total length of 655 meters. The distance between the two pillars is up to 405 meters, the two main pillars are 92 meters high, the static clearance of 27 meters.

Nguyen Van Troi bridge

Nguyen Van Troi Bridge is located between Tran Thi Ly Bridge and Dragon Bridge. This bridge was designed and completed by RMK (USA) in 1965 with the arched architecture of rare Poni steel platform in Vietnam.

The Nguyen Van Troi Bridge was previously unnamed, built by the US Army to serve the war. In the beginning, the bridge was assembled from steel pipes, wooden spheres. This is the bridge used to transport military supplies from Tien Sa port to Da Nang town. After the war, the bridge was upgraded to meet the needs of people.

In 1978, the bridge was removed from the wooden deck, replaced by reinforced concrete and, by 1996, the deck was replaced by steel plates to reduce the weight.
